The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it with your voice.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It has an elegant, top piece that appears like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal It also self-empties which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, it's a good option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the best choice. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank which means they can vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuum s often fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the room's label.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be accomplished easily. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.
It's a small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning area for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the higher price tag.
If you're looking to save some cash, or just don't care about the limitations of this machine there are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, which provides a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile, and even high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted flooring, and mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's simple to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The primary feature that distinguishes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it started.
The sleek G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials like cereal.
